effectively to changing environments, arts administrators and board
members have had to become increasingly sophisticated in areas such as
marketing, public relations, finance, fund-raising, management,
planning and technology. These are the skills business professionals
can bring to cultural boards. Recognizing that leadership in the arts
needs to expand to meet the current demands being placed on cultural
organizations, the Arts & Business Council in partnership with
local chambers and the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs has
developed Arts Board Miami, an initiative to identify, recruit, train
and place business professionals on arts boards. If you are interested
