
Arts Connection
Arts Connection is a hands on volunteer program. Arts Connection is a
fun way for your business professionals and others to get involved in
the community by working directly with artists and arts executives.
Arts Connection provides a creative and meaningful way to share time
with the community in short term, fun, creative and interesting
volunteer projects. Opportunities are varied each month and may include
ushering for a play, assisting at a special event, helping paint a
mural in a hospital or at a school, working with artists at a festival,
working behind the scenes at performances or providing clerical or
office services.
How does it work?
Getting involved is simple. Each month the Arts & Business Council
sends the Arts Connection e-mail newsletter which lists several
volunteer opportunities, with more opportunities maintained on our
website. You sign up for the volunteer opportunities that interest you
by calling our volunteer hotline. Arts Connection is fun! Our
volunteers receive free tickets to performances and events when they
volunteer. Arts Connection volunteers also receive special e-mail
offers for reduced tickets to arts performances and programs, and other
great perks which vary from organization to organization.

Corporate Involvement
Your company can provide us with a point person who receives the email
newsletter each month and then forwards the newsletter to your
employees. Employees sign-up for projects directly through our
volunteer hotline. ABC Miami can also provide your company with Arts
Connection postcards to distribute, Arts Connection fliers to post in
employee lunch rooms or common areas and Arts Connection information
for your in-house newsletters. In addition, the Arts & Business
Council offers the opportunities for corporations to develop corporate
team projects in the arts.
