Business Volunteers for the Arts

Business Volunteers for the Arts encourages participation among business professionals looking for opportunities to broaden and enhance their management skills. If you are a business professional looking to gain that competitive edge in the workplace, consider BVA. BVA is the Council’s premier leadership program designed to provide executives with experiential learning through involvement in the arts.

Rewards of BVA involvement:

The Council considers each professional's skills and interests and, if applicable, matches the professional with an appropriate arts organization to ensure a successful and valuable experience for all involved. Through participation in BVA, professionals are able to:

Strengthen business skills by creatively channeling them to a new arena

Learn how to turn limited resources into successful outcomes

Make a tangible difference in the community with measurable results

Build personal and professional networks with others who share a love for the arts

Training and Fees:

Professionals accepted into the program attend BVA Leadership Training before being matched with an arts organization. The training familiarizes professionals with current arts trends and issues and prepares each participant to work effectively with an arts organization. Participants’ companies often subsidize the BVA training fee of $50. We are now accepting applications for the next BVA program.
